Multi-level Marketing and Pyramid Selling (Excluded Schemes and Arrangements) Order 2000

This Order explicitly excludes from the Multi-level Marketing and Pyramid Selling (Prohibition) Act certain schemes and arrangements. MTI has enhanced the safeguards on MLM schemes operating in Singapore, with the aim of protecting Singaporean consumers and at the same time promoting a conducive environment for legitimate businesses. The revised Multi-Level Marketing and Pyramid Selling (Excluded Schemes and Arrangements) Amendment Order 2001 will take effect from 01 January 2002.
