Maintaining international competitiveness is a fundamental tenet of Singapore's economic philosophy and Singapore has constantly ranked high against the world's most competitive nations.
Singapore is ranked the most competitive economy by the World Competitiveness Yearbook 2010 and the third most competitive economy by the Global Competitiveness Report 2009-2010.
The World Competitiveness Yearbook 2010, published by the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), ranks Singapore as the most competitive economy in the world. The competitiveness ranking is based on four categories measuring economic performance, government efficiency, business efficiency and infrastructure.
The Global Competitiveness Report 2009-2010 by the World Economic Forum (WEF) ranks Singapore third in its Global Competitiveness Index (GCI). |
