SINGAPORE BUSINESS FEDERATION ACT

(CHAPTER 297A, SECTION 5 (2))
SINGAPORE BUSINESS FEDERATION (EXEMPTION) ORDER

  1. Citation

    This Order may be cited as the Singapore Business Federation (Exemption) Order.


  2. Exemption

    (1) Any local company or foreign company which satisfies the Council that it did not or does not have any employee during the period specified in the first column of the Schedule shall be exempted from section 5 (1) of the Act for the year specified in the second column of the Schedule.

    (2) For the purposes of satisfying the Council that it did not or does not have any employee during the period specified in the first column of the Schedule, the local company or foreign company shall submit to the Council -
    (a) a declaration by any of its directors in such form as the Council may require stating that it did not or does not have any employee during that period; and

    (b) such other documents as the Council may require.
THE SCHEDULE

Period during which local company or foreign company did not or does not have any employee Year in respect of which exemption from section 5 (1) of Act applies
(1) 1st April 2002 to 30th June 2002 2002
(2) 1st July 2002 to 31st December 2002 2003
(3) 1st January 2003 to 31st December 2003 2004
(4) 1st January to 31st December of the year immediately preceding the year in respect of which the exemption applies Any calendar year subsequent to 2004.
